These terms apply to every .gob.pk domain registered, renewed or transferred through DomainWalay. They sit on top of the DomainWalay Terms of Service, Domain Registration Agreement and Acceptable Use Policy. If a registry rule changes, the registry rule wins.
1. Registry and governing policy
.gob.pk is a second-level domain operated by PKNIC. By registering .gob.pk you accept the registry policies for the extension, including naming rules, eligibility rules and any published fees. The laws of Pakistan may apply to the registry side of the registration.
2. Eligibility
Only departments and bodies of the Government of Balochistan can register a gob.pk domain. It is not open to the public. A request must come from an authorised officer of the Balochistan government department on official letterhead. You confirm that the information you give is true. If the registry rejects the registration for eligibility reasons, the order is refunded after registry fees, if any, are deducted.
3. Registration term and activation
- Minimum term: 2 years. Maximum term: 10 years.
- Names must be 1 to 63 characters, letters, numbers and hyphens only, and cannot start or end with a hyphen.
- Activation happens after the registry approves the eligibility check.
- Internationalized names are not accepted.
4. Renewal, grace and redemption
- Renewal is due before the expiry date. Auto renew is available and can be turned off in the client area.
- Grace period after expiry: about 30 days at the normal renewal price. Services may stop during grace.
- Redemption period: about 30 days. Restore fees are higher than renewal and are shown before you pay.
- After all periods end, the domain is deleted by the registry and can be registered by anyone.
- Renewal prices can change when registry prices change. The price shown in the client area at the time of renewal applies.
5. Transfers
- Transfer in requires the domain to be unlocked and a valid auth (EPP) code.
- Transfer lock: 60 days after registration, transfer or registrant change.
- Typical transfer time: 5 to 7 days.
- Transfer out: we release the auth code and unlock the domain within one working day of a verified request from the registrant.
- A transfer can be denied for unpaid fees, a pending dispute, or a court order.
6. Disputes
Domain disputes for .gob.pk are handled under PKNIC dispute policy. DomainWalay follows decisions from the registry, a dispute panel or a court with jurisdiction. Registering a name that infringes a trademark is at your own risk.
7. Registration data and privacy
You must keep registrant, admin and technical contacts accurate. Public WHOIS and RDAP output is redacted for personal data. Registry and ICANN data escrow rules apply where relevant. Inaccurate data can lead to suspension.
8. Suspension and cancellation
A .gob.pk domain can be suspended or cancelled for breach of the Acceptable Use Policy, registry policy, unpaid fees, false registration data or abuse reports that are found valid. Where possible we notify the registrant by email before action.
9. Fees and refunds
Prices are in Pakistani Rupees and include the registry fee. Registrations are refundable within 5 days only if the registry allows deletion during its add grace period and the domain has not been used; renewals, transfers and restores are not refundable. Full details are in the Refund Policy.
